Maker Neptune

After the failure of the Nepcast release, intra-basilicom infighting, and, well, (let's be honest here), Neptune's goofing off, Planeptune's shares dropped to zero, and the land was split between Lowee, Lastation and Leanbox. Thanks to a special magic, Neptune did not vanish, and instead became human. While the experience was initially shattering for her, she soon matured, and with the help of her friends, now helps out at the Guild with IF, Compa and the rest of the dedicated makers.

Neptune knows how to have fun, but a hard lesson taught her how to work hard, too.

Oh, and if you were wondering, Vert now has a new little sister- Officegear. Her new costume has a lot of ribbons.

Art Notes:

I wondered how it would be if Neptune (from Hyperdimension Neptunia) followed the trajectory of the real life Sega, and stopped being a console company/goddess and instead a game maker. I got down to thinking about how she'd look and act.

I ended up drawing this quick concept. Her costume changed, as she's no longer a goddess. Also, as she's human now, she grows and matures at a regular rate- so I drew her taller and more fuller figured than normal, but less so than her CPU form. Her new costume is inspired by Sonic, the Sega logo and the Saturn controller- along with her original costume (the hoodie dress).
