Drossel Sitting by wbd Drossel Sitting by wbd
I'm still really impressed with the poseability of my new Drossel Figma, so I figured I'd take another pic.

Drossel Von Flugel is from the Japanese Disney series "Fireball".

Hmm. I kinda prefer her design from the original series. She actually had feet there.

True enough, but this figure has better articulation. Maybe Drossel's next version (if they make one) will have feet and good range of motion.

is it just me or is the knee joints a bit too free moving? (noting the different positions each one is in)

It's a function of the double-jointedness. Allows for a good range of motion.

ah i see. the armor im designing protects the knees from the thigh plate much like the hardsuits from Bubblegum Crisis so it just came off as odd at first.

i do kinda want one of these figures, any chance you can share where to get one?

Well, I got my Drossel from Hobbylink Japan, but I don't know if they have any more. They sold out pretty quickly.

Well, technically the series is now called, "Fireball Charming." But Whatever. You should make a tutorial on how to take pics this good.

Fortunately, I've already made one: [link]

Just make sure you add enough lights- and maybe a "fill" light up top to help add a bit more light.

Ah I see, any advice on using what kind of lights?

Originally I used halogens and just white-balanced the pic later. Nowadays I have some Ottlites, but any "full spectrum" light would probably work. Some google searches would probably find you some better answers by experts- I'm pretty much an amateur when it comes to figure photography.
