DQ IX: A Paladin's Dutyby *wbd

The Paladin in my DQ IX party is always ready to shield her allies from even the most terrible of attacks. She is quick to stand up and take those strikes, and always without complaint. Such a noble protector of the weak! Who else but a Paladin would act as such, and without any ulterior motive?

Art Notes:

With a skill like "whipping boy", I started to wonder if there was something "funny" about the Paladin class, and that's what led to this comic.

In truth, I really like my Paladin character (Meena), because she always does a great job on defense and as a secondary fighter.

Drawn in SAI, lettered in OpenCanvas, and when I screwed up and drew the inks on the sketch layer I used Paintshop Pro to fix it.

I wouldn't play just a tank character alone, but in a party, the Paladin is really useful in DQ IX. She has lots of spells to help with boosting defense, and when she gets hit it's really minor.
